my buddies dad has 2 sprayers on his 1000hp bmw, on wastegate boost (about 21psi) and both sprayers on it was around 800 (790something), he turned them off for shits and giggles and it hit a lil over 700....so it was almost a 100hp difference

Re: it starts...

long overdue update.
header is back from hpc coatings.
looks good but they didnt coat the inside.. its 2600 degree black I'll have pics soon.
good thing its stainless pipe..
oh well

JE quoted us an insane time frame and their price has gone up enough to make CP my piston of choice. link here: http://www.cppistons.com/
should have them in a week or so. ARP just let us know that the head and main studs are in the mail. so just waiting on head porting, cam to return from comp, and to find out about lifters.

Re: it starts...

maybe it was closer to 600...
cant believe they want that much for weisco.
i'm going for extreme quality
price comes second to that.
last thing i want to do is a redo.

Re: it starts...

pistons came today. I'd have pics but took them straight to machine shop.
with rings they were 620.
I guess cp has done quite a few for Austraillia. aparantly they are big down there or something
they made them with a slightly larger wrist pin. guess the smaller one has broke when you really lean into this engine.
cam is on the way back from comp.
they are also working on lifters.
they have nothing in stock so i may be using comp guts in gm lifters.
