Transmission help.
I'm swapping a 700r FI tranny out of a 93 to a 700r carb tranny out of an older s-10. My question is do they make a electronic speed sensor that has the plastic gear instead of the magnetic one? If not is there any way to interchange so I can have a speedometer?

Any help would be appreciated. I need to go part hunting in the morning if this can be done. My tranny has an electronic plug-in with a magnetic spped sensor for the speedometer (not sure of the actual part name), and the tranny I bought has a mechanical cable hook up with a plastic gear for the speedometer. I need one that has a plastic gear and an electronic plug-in.

I think you are going to need an adapter.You can get one from dokota digital's website for under $50 as far as I know there is no other way.
