Think with ur dip stick Jimmy...
lol Just saw that commercial an though it would be a catch title.
But on a serious note about dip sticks , do any of you other guys find that the oil dip stick on your duke is VERY un accurate ? Like I check mine often sometimes cool / sometimes warm an I can never get a good reading .. How do I know this you ask ? Well when I check my oil it says I am fine , well when I change my oil it is noticeably not X amount of quarts.(my pan has a quart reading). |

Re: Think with ur dip stick Jimmy...
Also on the note of oil , I noticed some sludge build up in my oil last time i changed it ( about 3000+ miles ago) ... I was wondering what is recomended that I can run in the oil before the next oil change that will break down this sludge an try an remove some of it through a oil change ..
(perfer something I can get from the parts store.) |

The is hands down, the best and only engine cleaner out. DO NOT fall for chevron techron system cleaner, engine flushes, fuel system cleaners, or any of that garbage. No other brand is near as good as seafoam except Mopar CCC. Just change your oil a lot, and use Seafoam. I have used it in over 12 vehicles, and it does wonders!!! |

Your only supposed to check the oil when its had enough time to sit and cool down. This allows any oil in the block to drain back into the pan.

Re: Think with ur dip stick Jimmy...
And since the duke has a shitty oil return system to begin with always check it when it is cooled down.
I have, in the past, been on the road and added a quart to the crankcase at a fuel stop. Then a day later got home and changed it and my 5 quart oil change pan was WAY overfull even before dropping the filter. wi11ie |

Re: Think with ur dip stick Jimmy...
i cant even use my dipstick, my engine burns oil, or it disapears, filled it up awhile back cause it was low, went on a 2 hour roadtrip and almost got to my location when the engine started to make noise... still had some oil pressure.. dumped 2 quarts in and sound went away

Re: Think with ur dip stick Jimmy...
I know how to check the oil , reguardless I can never seem to get an accurate reading .. like I can pull the dip stick 5 times an it will get a different reading every time sometimes higher sometimes lower.
