Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
I always run NGK V-Power plugs. Nothing else in any of my vehicles.
What plug gap are you guys running. I am doing the stock .060" but I have heard this causes misfiring because its too big of gap, even through stock says to gap that far! Thats like as far as you would gap an MSD ignition equipped truck? I didnt know our spark was that strong? |

I like NGK's V Powers for 4 and 6 cylinders, but thought about trying the E3's I've got a lot of good feedback on them.

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
E3's suck ! I spend most my free time helping out at my local oreily's and I can tell you they sell the shit outa the e3's but most all of them come back. One guy bought them for his 98' toyota tocoma ,changed them in the lot,and the truck wouldn even start.....Put his old fouled ones in and it fired rite back up.A freind of mine has a build 355 in his nova with a full MSD system in it and a fresh rebuild and he had misfire issue's out of the plugs withing 250 miles.Just thought I would throw that out there for those that care.

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
Hard to beat the AC delco's , its what it was built with .
60 thousands gap should be fine provided your cap, rotor, wires , etc is up to the task . Or you can live in denial on needing a full tune up and gap em down . I will admit to trying split fires once , years ago , no difference . Do they even still make them things ? |

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
Yeah, AC delcos are just fine for my little duke, but i always gap mine at 45 thousands, just to prevent any missing even with a fresh complete tune up. The only thing E3,s are good for in my opinion are lawn mowers. My brother is a small engine mechanic and he says they work great in those little briggs and honda motors.

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
I have used Bosch Platinums in ALOT of vehicles and never had a problem, just need to make shure that you gap them first as they usually arent correct.

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
Autolite, AC Delco, whatever is big, fat, ugly, and old-fashioned looking.
The Dukes don't have enough performance to make use of specialty performance plugs, you're throwing money away on those. And DON'T waste money on the platinum plugs for ANY car, they don't deliver any more spark than anything else, and the itty-bitty electrodes foul out in SHORT order. Stick with the granny-panty spark plugs. They work. |

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
Your right Autolite , AC Delco for your truck. But don't shortchange the Platinum plugs Changed mine in an Olds Intrigue at about 110,000 and looked good enough to go at least another 50-75000. |

Re: Spark Plugs, opinions?
Does anyone know about Accel U-Groove 276S plugs? A buddy gave them to me and said they were what he uses in 4cyl race cars.
I haven't put them in because I'm unsure as of right now. I also have new wires to go with them. |
