89 s10 2.5 timing question
how do you adjust the timing on the 2.5 or can you. I just replaced the cylinder head and all works fine but dont know what the timing is suppose to be or if it can be adjusted. thanks

If the distributor was not moved, your good to 'go'. Later, check it/ set it with a timing light to specs. Note: The 0 on the timing mark plate is TDC (top dead center) The BTDC (before top dead center) will be the setting/mark set for your specs. Rub some white chalk on the crankshaft mark and the spec mark on the timing plate. It will show up good when timing is checked with the timing light. Suggest the purchase of a manual. Essential information for ALL repairs. That's the name of that tune ! |
