I have a 1994 Chevy S-10 Reg cab, short box, 2wd, base work truck. Bought it from a friend who made a SS clone out of it. Looked sweet, but very under powered. 2.2 Slow, and 5spd didn't cut it. Swapped it out for a built 350ci small block and 350 turbo trans. Very easy swap if u ask me. Advance Adaptors made a kit that made it a bolt in project. Summit sells the kit. Hopefully I will get some pics posted soon.

350 small block.
-Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake.
-Edelbrock Performer 750CFM carb.
-Comp cam Magnum 270H cam.
-Comp cam Magnum Roller rockers.
-Summit racing dual idler gear drive timing set.
-HEI highout put ignition.
-B&M Shifter Kit.
-Advanced Adaptor shorty headers.
-Dynomax Bullet racing mufflers.
-10 bolt GM rear end with full spool and 3.73 gears.
-489HP @ rear wheels.

Adam Hanson.

Right now theres 2 v8 powered s-10's in my driveway. My blazer and my dads 1st gen pickup. My pop got me into the whole minitruckin scene when his 2.8L died in his truck it was cheaper to replace it with a 350. He did his conversion in 1995 and I did mine in 1998. Both were EASY~

Re: Who actually has a V-8

Got mine 3 weeks ago, and keep getting too busy to get to the swap! Some times I wish people would just leave me alone for a while. Anyway, here's a pick. Oh, and it's still on the pallet.
5.7 L TPI 700R4. With the optional oil cooler

Dude, I live about a mile and a half from where that pic was taken. Funny I have never seen you around here. I am always looking for v8 s-10s. Drive up to 57th just east of McArthur and you will see mine in the driveway. Used to be gold, black primer now.

Re: Who actually has a V-8

I actualyl have a v8 in my sonoma! i put it in myself, (with a little help from my grandpa) but we got it in there. I admit at some points it was a pain in the ass. I started the swap in late November, luckily i could start with winter approaching fast. Since i live in michigan i have cold winters, but this year was mild till about mid januart and now its pretty cold. But I still go out every day after school (I am still in Highschool, and dont get my liscence till june but that is besides the point) and on the weekends and work on my ride. I have had many problems along the way but it hasnt stoped me. i love to work on my truck and i am still not finished with the conversion, but i plan on having it done but the end of the week. All i need to do is finish welding up my homemade ehaust. Cherry Bombs ought to make my 350 sound pretty damn good! I hope to soon have a picture posted. I paired the 350 with the 700r4 that was in the truck when i bought it, (4.3L origional motor). Then i had problems keeping the fuel pupm running so i had to wire it to the ignition switch. Also i had to neck down the pressure with a holley pressure regulator. I couldnt get my water temp or my oil pressure guages to work after the swap so i put manual guages in (just water and oil the rest work). The tack dont work either.... probably because i havent hooked it up yet but i know that it wont work right because its calibrated for the 6 banger... does anyone know how to re-calibrate a tack??? if so please let me know ... my e-mail addy is Kev9812@comcast.net..... thanks..... but yea it has been a pain but i know that i am going to love my truck when it is all done!

I've been on these forums for a while, and never noticed you guys are both from my area. I've been at Cordova quite a bit, but hopefully this summer I'll be there with the LT1. All I need now is mounts, and a harness!
