water leak help needed

need help trying to figure out how to stop a water leak.
i have a 89 s10 blazer 2wd. the water comes in the truck from the wiper cowl and enters the truck in the area behind the kick panels how do i stop it? removed the heater box and ac and installed heater delete panel. is there a door or something in there if so how do i get to it? im trying to get this sealed for before i install my new carpet due to the old one that was soaked and the truck has no rot and i dont want any

wrong section, this has nothing to do with a v8... this should be moved to probably the exterior section


that aside.. heres what you do, gut the interior in the area that is the problem, have a friend with a garden hose run water over the area that you suspect is coming in from and you stay inside with a flashlight, do this until you see water come in... once you find the problem, blow it dry and seal it up, and then do the water thing the next day to see if it does it anymore

sorry didn't know where to put the post there was no dash kick panels or carpet in it when i found where it is coming from just trying to figure out how or why it is getting to that spot behind the kick panels
