v8 oil pan clearence options ?s

Today i put the truck a 2wd s10 on the lift to see the oilpan clearence from h\the front cross member and its about a half inch from tuching it. rite now its no big deal but this winter i plan to clean the engin bay up a little bit ann in the process i want to pull the motor and move it forward about 2'' so i can access the distrbuter ect a little easier which in turn to move it forward i will need a high clearence oil pan or an oilpan that is not as deep. ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS any help will be greatly appreciated.

why not just modify the firewall? cause you move it two inchs forward. thats makes more weight up front. less room for your accesories. etc... and then your gonna have possible header issues to...

2 inches is a lot to move it forward... theres going to be a lot other things to mess with if you do that, i would clearance the firewall like chevhead said way before i would move drivetrain parts

One inch back and one inch up. MY truck is lowered four in the front. Oil pan has the same clearance as the original 4.3 pan did.

Im in the process of getting my motor in and "moved" the fire wall 2 inches back. Plenty of clearance for dist, can probably get to tranny bolts from to too

camera phone pic may look a little funny cause of lighting
