umm flames are bad right?

ok i got the lt1 in and driveable im currently doing cleanup on it theres alot of loose ends that im trying to get out of the way(here comes the nickel and dime crap). i got it kinda driveable! but i noticed that i got like 3foot flames coming from my manifolds?? and that i kinda got a high idle it didnt seem so high when i first got it running but now its definatly higher than it should be i've checked for vacume leaks and its not leaking i can hear the iac thing hissing but it doesnt show a code maybe i needa better scanner? if anyone knows something i can else im overlooking just lemme know.

I have seen the flames do that befor on it running rich and no pipes.When you put the pipes on there it will totally change everything.
You have the 02's hooked up?

yea phintx msg me bout the o2s not working right without the pipes on. im gonna put some pipes on it just to get it to the muffler shop.. the thing im really worried bout right now is its idleing at like 1500 rpms or so i can put my finger over the iac motor hole on the throttle body and it drops down to bout 500 or so.

well i found something out about one problem my mass airflow sensor wasnt grounded the wire just looped into no where so i grounded the black/white wire and that helped alot the flames are gone it still pops back but no flames and im shure that pop will go away when i get my exhaust on.
