truck to low... exhaust burning up everything!

Ok so after the swap my truck was sittin on 3 inch lowering blocks and 2 inch drop spindles. It seemed to ride decent but i had to get that center of gravity lower for cornering so i put in some aftermarket 3 inch drop springs in the front and in rear removed a leaf and put in air shocks. truck handels pretty good and looks sick now with a total of 5" in front and about 5-6" in back depending on my psi. the ass is fine but the front suspension is a whole new story... for starters the dumass that made my piping put it to damn low at the front and it drags everything. i am going to have to have that part redone. then to make things worse theres a hole in the passengers side floor covered with a screwed in peice of sheetmetal and dynamat thanks to my interor fire from exhaust heat coming of the header collector. both my headers are beat up and the wraps coming off them. and im always riging up fixes for random exhaust leaks.

heres my problem. the trucks to low... the upper control arms are hitting the headers causing the whole system to move up. the collectors are touching the floor on both sides and i have to pry them back down about once a week if i drive it alot. they are making my floor really hot. ive already had one fire i dont need another. and now i have to think about buying new headers. there are dents in them causing restrictive air flow. will tubular arms fix this?

Raise the truck back to the 2-3, sound like a great solution to me....although I dont care for anything past a 2-3, maybe some bias in my answer...

Re: truck to low... exhaust burning up everything!

id suggest fixing your firewall and exhaust routing problems first. My truck lays crossmember on a 235/70/15 and i have none of these problems. If you collectors are that close to your firewall you need to either do some massaging with a hammer or cut out those spots and weld in some more sheetmetal with more space b/t the collectors.

for the second issue of the headers getting hit by the control arms yes tubulars will solve this but id like to see some pics like everyone else said. If you really want to go the tubular arm round ive got some good pics that show my header to a arm clearance with my tube arms
