Speedo trouble!

Anyone have any idea as to what is making my speedo on my '95 S10 bounce up and down ! It is intermittent,about half the time it is smooth as a clock and other times it bounces all over the place! Seems to be worse on acceleration and sometime it will jump from 10mph up to 40 or 50 mph. It is electronic and I have a 700r4 tranny. The Vss was changed (but not a new one) all grounds checked,even the whole speedo cluster was changed (from salvage)Run perfect for a good while, now acting up! Could it be a bad diode somewhere in the alternator ??(as it seems to be getting a surge of current sometimes?)I was told it might be a Bad diode in the blower motor circuit????Question is Where is that diode????Has anyone ever experienced this??????Any suggestions is greatly appreciated! Driving me nuts!.....
