Re: Some new stuff...its the real deal now
they are 4.25 inch deep at the back of each fan, but in the center is thin...so water pump should be no issue and all. |

Re: Some new stuff...its the real deal now
Cool man. Got a good start.
I have those fans and they suck well. Lots of air. Not too much noise. I also have the Vette radiator and it does fit really well on that thing. Almost a perfect fit. As for the wiring of the fans, get Jared at Current Performance to build you in three relays for those fans to run on a parallel/series setup which is exactly what the Camaros ran so the PCM will control them - no need to have thermostats, etc... Don't know if you ever will want to run an electric water pump (good upgrade for future) but you might as well have Jared put a relay in there for one of those too. If you don't use it, it won't matter. Also, saw some questions about "heated" vs. "non-heated" - you need to use the o2 sensors from an LT1 motor. I would just tell the parts counter you had a '95 Z28 for OBD-I and probably a '96 for OBD-II. I didn't see which year motor you got... They only used "heated" so there's no question. Four wires each o2 sensor. Let me know if you have any issues. I've probably "been there, done that." These are awesome motors for our trucks - you're gonna love it. |

Re: Some new stuff...its the real deal now
And its a 95 z28 motor, so i did look at work and they are OEM heated and four wired. If you look at my ''members project'' thread, i have a isssue with the powr steering pump, but on the other forum they suggested a pump from a caprice since its low pressure vs high pressure the camaros use. Other than that, what do you think my power output/mpg should be withthis setup? |
