Justin I think they changed how they made them, from a welded assembly, to a bent bracket. Companies always cutting costs

mine look just like that.

one thing you might want to know, one of the locals had to notch his motor mount to clear his 1 5/8" headers

ya they are both like that....can you explain cuz i did look at the bracket and the black piece, dont know which is considered the mount, an i dont see any unusual break marks or chips or nothing.

The black thing with the rubber is the 2.8 frame mount. The other thing is the swap mount. The other ones went all the way across where these is just wide open.

No, the ones I bought from them were still the 3 piece welded together style. I can see these working, but you'd think if they're making them cheaper, they'd sell them for less. I guess with the steel prices going up, they had to reduce their manufactoring cost, to hold their prices. If they're making them in any quanity, I'm willing to bet their total cost is less then half of what the welded design is. I'd guess they're paying under $5 for each cut piece and maybe another $5 to get it stamp bent in a punch press. So they shouldn't have more the $20 a pair in them. I don't think you could do the welded style for less then $30 a pair in quanity

Those mounts are just fine. Don't worry yourself. We used some mounts exactly like that on a LS1 Silverado, worked great. It would be different if you were making 900 horsepower.

yup, got too....i can put this money into this and it not be...too bad my inspection is next march, or i would do some things like x pipes and shit to it to make it louder and all. But DE has a damn stupid DB test rule so it cant be too loud.

And thanks for the compliment on the intake, like said before, i was very surprised on how it turned out wheni got it in the mail.

Re: Some new stuff...its the real deal now

so how are you going to run the emission tubes to the header. or are you going to move the emission tube down behind the headers. i'am wonder about that cause i want to run coated headers but i dont want to weld on them.

not sure if i can or not, but i guess down off the headers for the same reason. That should still be fine right? It doesnt have to be on the manifold/header?

oh...I guess thats another thing that you dont think about when you do this type of swap

All i know is that those O2 sensors are expensive, i hope the ones on the manifolds are still do'able.

All in all, i just hope that the truck will be out of my hands come Friday night. Hope to have half the truck at the shop, an dthe other half of the truck at the body shop.

i think the o2 sensor hav to be on the header, but i might be wrong, i seen a couple of people welding then on at the collectors above the flange, but thats what they did

Re: Some new stuff...its the real deal now

anyone else have some input on if the o2 sensors must be on the headers? Looks like my sanderson headers dont have a opening to where the o2 sensors can go into like the stock manifolds do. If i can put them right below the collector on the exhaust tubing that would be great.

And just a FYI, truck still in my possesion, but should be out of my hands come mid week. So i might not be able to go to the show in bristol, pa...

but if i cant take my truck i will just take my bros noma.

ok , so i should be fine than. I didnt know since the stock manifolds have them in the manifolds and i wasnt sure if it is ok to move them down to the exhaust piping.
