SO can i re-use my T-case??? and a few other Q's 350 swap in 87 4x

OK, made my 1st payment on my 350/th350 combo today, and i need to know:

can i re-use my T-case??

it's an 87 Blazer 4x4, will have a 350/th350 in it...currently has sticking out of the engine bay a good 2.8/(i believe)700R4 trans bolted to it, minus the case 'cause i thought it'd be easier to put it in like that. buddy of mine called me when i was aggrivated @ the truck and offered me this combo for $550 out of his dirt track/figure 8 car...that he had just flipped. now i HAVE heard it run, and i need to pull it out of the car & bring it home (somehow) and drop it into the truck...i know the route i'm going mounts wise, i just need to know if this is possible or not, if not it'll be a 2wd for a while, i'll just leave the front axle as a floater until i can track down the appropriate t-case.

also, any way i might get away with re-using the exhaust??

You can use the np207 but You will have to get a tailshaft kit from advance adapters for your t350 then take the factory adapter off of the 700r4 and bolt it to the t350 than your good to go.You could also get a v8 style 700r4 and put the tailshaft and t case adapter from the 2.8 tranny into it and have overdrive ,good luck.

money is tight right now../ i'm considering just droppin it in as a 2wd just to get it on the road, then take the truck back off the road simply to put the t-case in it over the weekend when funds allow... not sure yet though. tryin to not have to play with my drive shaft too much quite yet i'll have to take a closer look but i think the trans is all one piece in this BEOTCH of a truck. i need a dang welder lol

also can i re-use my shift linkage on the column or do i need to get a floor shifter?
