Same here. Mine was overheating with the stock 4.3 radiator. I got the summit conversion radiator and flex a lite 220 dual fans and it'll run 180 all day long beating on it. Oh and I'm running a 160* t-stat. In the winter, I don't even use the fans...

Whats up with the oil? Leaking or what?

Yup, we have the exact same set-up. I went and bought my fans after you told me the part number

lack of oil can also contriubute to cooling failures.

Forgot about that....good point.

And I've had my v8 running for 2 years and still find bugs that need working out...was overheating, oil leaks, trans leaks, shifter cable jammed up...blah blah blah. The list continues.

Keep up the good work.

Re: ~Project~ Trickity Tree Twenty Sven

Well she is down right now. My belt tensioner started to come out of the bracket. So Acehaag brought the bracket to his work to get fixed and redone. Also we back flushed the radiator toady also. So hopefully that will solve that. Also, when I get my bracket back we are going to toss on a different steering pump in hopes I have power steering.

Re: ~Project~ Trickity Tree Twenty Sven

there isnt that much weight up front even with a v8. manual steering only sucks in tight spots when you arnt rolling, but then you just let off the brakes and let it roll a little bit

True^ My CRX had manual steering but i could never tell, then again, look at the size of that car. The guy who owned it before me thought it had power steering because he said that he tried to find out where to check the fluid before but never found it, lol.

Ahhh!!!

She runs hot still. But flushing the rad did help. It just doesn't get as hot as fast LOL!!

On the plus side, we got the bracket fixed, and I now have power steering
I do have a video of a walk around the truck, but my computer is broken at this moment. So no pics or vids till I get that fixed. =(
