Post Your V8 S10 Pics Here
New Thread for V8 S10 pictures. Post your V8 S10 pics here (exterior, engine, wheels) as it would be easier for members to view & ask questions to other V8 owners. Tks
Here's mine. Built in 98 as a (sleeper) street truck with blacked out camaro wheels. Truck was off the road last 4 years (blown tranny & rear). Just rebuilt + changed truck to street/strip (still same motor running good) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() engine in truck over 10 years now (still lookin ok) ![]() ![]() Daily driver: ![]() cheers, |

Re: Post Your V8 S10 Pics Here
I bought the lakewood traction bars and they're ok for the money, they did eliminate wheel hop. If you're looking to improve 60 ft times though I'd save up and get the cal-tracs. I wish I had plus they don't look so.......1980's.

Re: Post Your V8 S10 Pics Here
----------------------------------------------------------------- TheGriff & lower90xcab nice rides. Griff, very clean truck inside & out ! carter & Blazin Jason tks for your comments. TopSecret, why did you sell your wrx ? quick front end shot: ![]() Mike & Chevy84sdime The traction devices I'm using are slide-a-links. Caltracs are best for drag racing only (not very complient on the road). Slide-a-links are adjustable & great for street OR strip. On the street they have a nice ride with some give (+ don't slap like regular traction bars), & can also adjust them (easily tighten up) when at the drag strip. Furthermore, if truck does pull to one side on launch, can tighten other side to compensate. They not only solved all my rear hopping issues, but due to their design, they definitely helped with traction too. They are rated for about 650hp, however, the front spring eye bracket does hang down if your truck is low (although this is a problem with most traction bars). My truck is quite low, so I'm going to refab bottom of the front spring eye bracket & raise about 1", for clearance. I posted some pics earlier on another thread for slide-a-links, but no big deal, here ya go: ![]() ![]() ![]() cheers, |

Re: Post Your V8 S10 Pics Here
Cheaper vehicles to purchase, lots of them around for parts, stock engines suck, easy to do, and why wouldn't you want a v8? =)

Re: Post Your V8 S10 Pics Here
Seems my account was deleted due to inactitivty, so I'm starting fresh.
Heres my truck; its an '87 Blazer. 355" TPI with a 700R4. 3:42 Eaton Gov-Loc. I swapped to a '730 ECM, but haven't gotten around to dumping the MAF, so its still in the intake. I tune with TunerProRT and an Ostrich2.0. The motor is a mismatch of parts, with the biggest being swirl port heads. I'm putting together an L31 with SDPC TPI base. Hopefully I'll have that in this winter, while the truck rests in the garage.
