Please help. carbed 350 to 350 tpi swap questions
Some one give me info on 350 to 350tpi w 700r4 swap. Any thing special besides fuel pump and return lines? And obviously wiring? Diagrams for 350 tpi 1988? How about O2 censors? what about tranny lengths? Is a th350 the same length as a 700r4? Assuming all mounts are same for motor and tran.

The easyest thing to do is go to summit or jegs and buy a PAINLESS WIRING HARNESS that what i did and they are really easy if you not go at wiring

Wiring isn't really a problem, I'm really just looking for the other stuff listed.

wiring will be the hardest part, definately do with a stand alone harness. An electrical engineer buddy and I tried to make it work and it just wasn't worth the time and frustration.
why not keep the th350? |

The th350 is beat. It leaks; as does the oil pan on the motor. I gotta pull the motor to change the gasket on the pan. My friend needs a motor and I can get the tpi motor and 700r4 cheap . I know what goes into wiring a tpi motor. Ive swapped them tpi for tpi. Plus I love the look of a tpi motor compared to other fuel injected motors. My causin built one in his camaro 383 stroker motor. Its sick. I was in on that project. That was a while ago. I got "everything" pretty much figured out. For fuel Im gonna swap my holly blue fuel pump for a fuel injection rated one, and run a return line off the pressure regulator to the fuel cell. Im gonna Weld on new O2 bungs on my headers. and if I need a different length in the tranny Im gonna swap tail ends. I have tracked down a wiring diagram for a 88tpi motor and the camaro it came out of. Thanks guys will update soon.

the motor is running in a camaro now. i plan on taking anything ican from it. including ecm.

VATS is not an issue since my tpi is an 88. No pass key either. Thankyou for the tranny link tho. Every lil bit counts.
