**New** 5.3L stuff... FAST LSX 90mm

I think I might pick up a HP or two....

FAST 90mm intake/ throttle body, with fuel rails... Im going to need and LS1 water pump and a bracket to move the idler pulley out of the way of the now lower throttle body.



Comp 918 Springs with Ti-retainers

Those are stock injectors, somehow Im going to bet I wont be running those....

FAST has some nice injectors I might be able to pick up.

you can see the light blue stripe on those springs.... thats new, the old stripe was dark blue

actually all the 918s are garbage unless you have a really small cam,921s are the way to go, as for injectors you could probably get away with a set of ford motorsport 30lbhr, or if money is tight, search the junkyard for a set of 38s from a pontiac grand prix, they look just like the LS1 injectors but they are white

also when you bolt theintakeon for good be sureto use the 8mm allen bolts that come with the kit, they replace the factory valley pan bolts. if you dont use them you risk cracking the manifold

Untrue... 918s work great on almost anything under .600 lift except solid rollers/lsk lobes

921s are a great spring too, for when your over .600lift but cost is an issue since they are double springs and they dont make steel retainers for them.

spring life is affected by more than just lift, duration also plays a roll in it. i havenever seen a 918spring last more than one year in anything more than a stock cam. we wont even sell or install a set of them. another option that is not as expensive as the 918s is the Manley duals,not sure of the part # but they are good spring as at a decent price. i just wouldnt use them in a boosted car

I understand, i am not trying to argue with you,i have been in the performance LSx industry for over five years and i am just trying to shed some light and offer some different options. like i said look into the manley duals i think the price is not much more than the 918s yet offer a little bit more in the safety department

I appreciate that your trying to help....

Ive just had 918s on the dyno for about 800 pulls on two different engines. One to 7000RPM (ZZ4) and 7200 RPM on an LS1 without any problems. Thats why I trust them.

And I also know that bad things, even though rare get posted like nuts. But the guys who have been driving the crap out of them for years dont say a word. I like to keep a positive spin on things. All the companies do there R&D and do what needs to be done to have a quality product Im sure.

any body suggest a oil pan for the 5.3 swap{ive been told the ls2 oilpan will fit with little to no modification is that true} and the 5.3 is an ls motor ? i didnt know that thanks for the wisdom

All stock pans require notching, the corvette LS2 takes the least cutting apparently. You can use the truck oil pan too..just more cutting.
