Need help choosing a few parts...

Ok guys,

I'm building a L31 for my '03 Blazer. I'm rebuilding it with a set of flat top pistons and reworking the heads. Maybe a little port and polishing...

I'm looking for a cam that will produce good low-mid range power since this truck is my daily. I plan on buying around a 26-2800 stall converter for it. I need something that will work well with the EFI setup.

Also, I'm having trouble deciding what radiator I should use. I've heard that I can keep my stock 4.3 radiator and use a flex fan. I've read a lot about the Corvette radiators, or the ones out of the 73-87 C10s. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't mind doing a little cutting...

If I take the ECM I have to the dealer to get it reflashed, will they be able to program my VIN into it so it will work with my BCM?

Sorry for all the questions. I've been doing my research and these were the only things I couldn't find much on. I'm trying to keep this kinda low budget. So far I've only got about $500 in it. Engine, wiring, and computer was free...

The stock 4.3 radiator should work fine. Use a flex-a-lite 210 fan. Get a cam for a 98-99 Vortec motor. The PCM will need to be programmed for a full-size truck similar to yours. That opens up the BCM issue due to VIN desrepency. You might end up changing the BCM and programming it to the full-size VIN #.
