Keeping Cool

I've got a 89 S10 4.3.I am looking to put in a 350 with a carb. What is the best way to go about this and keep the air condition?

Re: Keeping Cool

Forget the carb.I just read where it works best to use a engine from around the same year so I can use most of the stuff on my 4.3.

Re: Keeping Cool

i moved the radiator and condenser forward. im using a 4.3 radiator and flex a lite 220 fans and everything worked just fine.

ac blew about 35* going down the highway and about 45-50 sitting at idle.

Use a carb if you want.. That's what I did.. Just keep the accessory brackets and pulleys off the 4.3.. You can make more power with the carb in my opinion.. You can see the original compressor, alternator etc. in this picture.

Yeah, the original brackets bolt up. I had to modify the power steering bracket, but you could just get a bracket similar to what he posted in the pic.
