Re: just some pics of my v8

motor is a 95 lt1 from a firebird formula truck runs great.....the only thing thats not working is the fuel gauge, and the cheep gauges that i got from summitracing......dont buy summit brand gauges....i have an autometer speedo, and fuel gauge, i had a autometer tach that i recalibrated for the v8...i know i get 250mpg....truck is a 98 s10 ex cab. can i just plug that line? and i dont know why the fuel gauge is not working, i dont know if the sender is bad or not.....it worked before the swap, but after it did not. and that was with the stock gauges.

i think you mean 25 mpgs, but is that true? I am having a t56/lt1 swapped into my truck right now and i wonder wat mpgs it would get.

o ok...i am doing the lt1/t56 six speed in my swap. Mine is also a std. cab, so i should have alittle less wieght than you especially since from wat i remember the first gens are lighter than the second gens to begin with.

I am also installing a 02 blazer rear with 3.42 gears and disc brakes. I am hoping for 18 avg. mpg, and 20+ hwy

Re: just some pics of my v8

Can I get some info on your remote oil filter setup? What parts did you use, no leaks?

Re: just some pics of my v8

I was running my oil filter just like My598.

It's just a remote oil filter kit from summit or jegs, but I used -8 an lines for my hoses.

It works great.....but mine started leaking after about 3 years of use....so I just relocated it to where the oil filter stood up like normal.
