Few simple ?s for my swap.

My Truck is a 91 Blazer TBI 4.3 4x4 W/ a 700r4 tranny.
Im looking into buying a 350 to start my swap. I want to do this as cheap as possible.
Now im going to keep it simple and use my tbi on my truck.
Do I have to buy bigger injectors or can I use the ones I have off the 4.3?
What are the cheapest swap headers and motor mounts?
Can I use the 4.3 oil pan or do I have to buy another? If so can I just use one off a 4x4 350/305 truck?
Can I use the 4.3 Dizzy?

Re: Few simple ?s for my swap.

i believe the tbi's only use 2 injectors, so it wouldnt cost much at all to replace them, and since it doesnt sound like youre going for all out performance, you can probably find some rebuilt stockers for next to nothing

cheapest headers youll find are going to be used, i havent seen any set of new swap headers for less than 150ish, mounts im not sure, mine were included when i bought my truck, but theyre from trans dapt if that helps

no you cant use the 4.3 oil pan... think about it... the 350 is 2 cylinders longer which is about 6 inches, so no, it obviously wont fit... but the 350 you buy should come with one, if you want this a cheap as possible, buy a compete engine instead of building one, just make sure it runs first

i do not know about the distributor

Truck oil pans and car 2x4 & 4x4 oil pans are all different correct?
So if I get one I will have to use a 4x4 truck pan right?

Re: Few simple ?s for my swap.

to the best of my knowledge, the only difference in oil pans on the small blocks is what side the dipstick is on, which changed in the mid 80's when they went to a 1 piece rear main seal design... i dont know of any difference between the 2wd and 4wd, though i could be wrong, im not much of a 4wd guy

Re: Few simple ?s for my swap.

I know there is a differnce between 2wd & 4wd 4.3 . I found that out the hard way while doing a swap.
This is why I ask because I don't want this to happen while im dropping in a V8.

Re: Few simple ?s for my swap.

The sump is deep on the 4x4 on the 2x4 its more square . The 2x4 pan was hitting the transfer case if I remember correctly.
