Question Engine swap Electronics ???

one more thing i forgot to ask on my 4.3L too 350 swap. Could i use the electronics off a 1990 chevy 1500 in my 2000 xtreme s10 and still have correct usage of my guages and all that good stuff or is it even conpatable?

I wouldn't think so... just find you a 96-99 Vortec 350... it's a lot easier...

03blazer is right that wiring would only work in the 88-95 gauge clusters. ur has different hookups and let alone a different sending unit for the gas tank.

the motor is a 2000 0r 2001 and its in a 1990 chevy 1500 and i already have it so guess i am just going to mod my wiring harness and find a computer that will work ha thanks guys

I am using a 94/95 TBI computer (16197427) to run my L31 in my 95. Its FAR from plug and play though

yea find a 98+ vortec, their not much money now days and all the sensors and wiring is the same pretty much. Trying to make the 90 pcm work with 00' gauges is next to impossible...have fun

well i have now decided to use my stock computer and have someone flash it i know a guy that said he could do it no problem he works for a chevy dealer so im glad he is doing it on the side for me the dealer would rip me a new one for that lol
