engine squeak

To start off with I have a 95 s-10 with 383 TPIS miniram engine and t-56. Recently I have started to hear a squeak. It almost sounds like a brake disc type of squeak, but it comes and goes. Sometimes you can hear it from idle all the way through the rpm range. Other times you hear it from 1500 on and other times you don't hear it at all. It really doesn't seem to change with the truck being warm or cold. Its just sometimes I can hear it and sometimes I can't.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Alternator, PS pump, A/C compressor. I'm thinking it's something that "spins" with your motor. Just a bearing wearing out.

Re: engine squeak

Figured it out. I had a tiny hole in the radiator hose which is right above the serp. belt. Every time it dripped onto the belt it would start squeking.

Re: engine squeak

at least u found it, tiny holes in hoses tend to go pop at just the wrong time

Re: engine squeak

its a aftermarket stainless hose, so it wouldn't of popped. I found it was rubbing on the power steering pump a tad bit and put a hole in it.
