Crank wire on 97?
Can anyone tell me where the wire harness that includes the starter crank wire come out of the firewall? I don't have the factory engine harness from the 4.3 but its gotta be in one of the plugs somewhere. I know its the large yellow wire from the switch but can't find were it comes out of the large harness under the dash.

Re: Crank wire on 97?
well i figured it out today. It was labeled as "ignition fused" just like every other key ignition wire. It is in connector C102 and is a purple wire if anyone needs this info in the future.

Re: Crank wire on 97?
It is the C102 connector which is the large round connector above the master cylinder that normally goes to the tranny for nuetral saftey and gear indicator. It was the purple wire. In the gm service manual it was still labeled "ignition fused" like all the pink wire that are hot on key run but it only gets hot when key is turned to crank possition.
