Re: 427 big block swap?

a bb into a s10 can be done.

i dont know what the dimensions are so i dont know if the sbc mounts will work or not,

a second gen is even better to start with. apparently they have a more boxed frame.

ask yourself this, is it worth rebuilding that 427 (if it needs it) , and stuffing it in a s10, or getting a sbc and have a much easier install

You will run into the same probs as the first gen swap.....1998 up will run into the same BBC fitment problems as the first gen + the same wiring problems as any carbed SBC swap. Radiator demensions should be different.

Re: 427 big block swap?

there are a few 502 2nd gens runing at the local drag track. fit is real tight, and their custom headers go over the frame. they are running full metal body, just removed inner fenders due to exhaust. rads are in back of truck though
