350 in a 91 S10

hey there i have a 91 s10 long box with a 4.3 vortec and a auto, what kinds of special parts am i gonna need to put in a 350?? other than mounts, am i gonna have to modify anything at all?? and whats a good donor engine?? this will be a street/strip truck just a mild build up.

91 with a vortec? New one on me.. Read the sticky at the top of this subforum page. It really is a good place to start.. That, and the search feature.

Some were called Vortecs in those years... none of them actually came with the Vortec heads like the 96-up trucks though.

Word to me it sounds like you don't know enough yet to really know what you want, there's a WORLD of options, I'd hunt through other member's build first and see what you do/don't like.
You have options of around 200HP to over 500HP depending on what you want to swap, you know?

Without knowing which motor setup you're going with, here's a starter.

-Motor Mounts
-Headers
-Transmission
-Trans Cross member (depending on which tranny you choose)
-Driveshaft
Among many other things...

But as mentioned above, check the sticky. There's plenty of ground to cover, and it's been covered before.
