didnt want to ruin his thread under me.
ok so my dad has a new 283 long block he got for his 63 ss nova but he sold it. so i was think about putting it into my sonoma it has a 4.3 now with a automatic 4l60e would it bolt to the trans and what about motor mounts. also i want to build it to have 300 h.p what can i expect for mpg. if it doesn't bolt to the trans i have a turbo 400 but would that be to much. and how long did it take to do the engine swap for you guys.

for motor mounts u would be better going with the 2.8 motor mounts. and it took me about a day going really slow to put my motor in and bolted up thats not with it running.

some people say they 2.8 frame mounts are better then the 4.3 but idk i just used 2.8 motor mounts b/c that what came with my motor mount kit.

o ok thanks this is just an idea since my 4.3 has been acting kinda funny maybe it will die and give me a real reason.

lol i have been saying that about my 89 my 2.8 got 218,000 miles so i think its about time for it to RIP...lol

yah and bolt ons suck every thing i have put on there doesnt seem to help.
